“Parenthood isn’t about raising kids it’s about you – how you react, how you behave…” – Brad Stafford Butcher.
The benefits of music are well researched, regulating our emotional state, reducing stress, assisting with sleep, and increasing focus. From the womb to the tomb, it often forms a cultural foundation that’s influenced by our exposure during childhood.
Whether classical, alternative, or country, musical appreciation of any level can only improve our quality of life and open us to a universal language that transcends borders, religion and beliefs.
I first met Brad Butcher whilst conducting an interview for my radio show, when he was part of a three-piece band playing covers in 2011. Ten years later as a solo musician, he was supporting bands like Busby Marou and recording.
Now as a father to 4 girls in a blended family juggling work, whilst managing music gigs, he is mindful of maintaining connection and balance. In this conversation he shares his greatest discoveries about himself and hopes for the future.
