We’ve all heard of IQ and understand how that’s quantified, but do you know how to evaluate your EQ? Emotional Quotient encompasses our ability to perceive, understand, use, and manage emotions. More commonly referred to as Emotional Intelligence, it’s become a hot topic in relation to our children.

The core competencies that underpin our level of EQ – Self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation, and social skills; are all things that you may not be born with, which need to be developed and nurtured.

Founder of Big Emotions Academy Corey Gaidzionis says in 2014 people thought he was an angry, arrogant asshole – at least that’s how his wife described him. He’s come to understand that “The world revolves around US and THEM, whether it’s cars and cyclists, gay or transgender and straight, male/female, the world is big on creating labels so we can separate all these little groups.”

It was when he suffered several out-of-sequence events, that rocked his world and reshaped his future that he realised God had another plan.
